Thanks!

To all those who attended my talk – Social Media DO’s and DON’Ts – at the Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce Social Media Conference this morning – thanks so much!  I hope the talk gave you all sorts of good information.

I love when everyone starts asking questions – wish we had another hour to talk about them all!

Don’t forget to check your handouts for the web page address – you can go back and go over the notes and access all the links I referenced today.

So life is what happens…

…when you make plans.

I had wanted this to be launched in May.  That didn’t happen, because when you have a large family, this simply increases the opportunities for emergencies to pop up. :D

However, it looks like my life is back in order (*knocks on every available piece of wood within a 2 mile radius*), so I’m hoping to get this all launched in October.

Client-Vendor Etiquette

We all have vendors we dread. Let’s improve the situation.

A lot of that dread comes not just from miscommunication, but from willful deafness on both sides.  I’m your usability consultant, so my job is to listen to you.

In this series of posts, I’ll talk about not just what makes a good vendor, but what makes a good client/vendor relationship.   So hopefully, you won’t see yourself on Clients From Hell.

I’ll also address what I’ve always considered anti-customer-friendly tactics of developers large and small, and would love to hear your horror stories if you’ve had a bad website development experience. (“Paying too much” doesn’t qualify ;) ).
